About Harry
Experience
Harry has over 27 years in the insurance industry, beginning in administrative management and progressing to 11 years in sales and marketing management. He retired in 1995 as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for a life insurance company. There he led and coached a field force of up to 2000 representatives to be one of the most productive among its peer group. He went on to lead and coach several other sales forces through acquisitions and in each case, the productivity of the acquired sales force increased substantially. After retiring from the corporate world, he served as adjunct professor of business at North Greenville College and Greenville Technical College. In 2003 Harry founded To The Edge, to coach sales professionals, sales managers and executives in the financial services industry; as well as small business
executives.
Education
Harry received his B. A. in Business Administration from Furman University and his M.B.A from Clemson/Furman Universities. He holds the CLU and The ChFC designations from the American College and the FLMI designation from the Life Office Management Association. Harry completed the Marketing Management Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and also holds a certificate from the Field Officers School offered by the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association. Harry also completed the Leadership In Life Institute Program offered by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
Coaching Credentials
Harry received his certification from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte Program in Business Coaching and is currently working towards his International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification. He is an active member in the ICF . Harry is a board member for the Greenville, SC chapter of NAIFA, and is NAIFA State Chair for the Leadership In Life Institute.
